Current improvements are all to make train travel faster (an alternative to shorthaul flights). Trains are simply becoming planes without wings (hermetically sealed, and with recycled air too). @EuropeByRail

A2: I loved the night trains in Thailand and Vietnam. We always booked second class with fan only. The aircon was only loud and made you sick.

A4: I've done all sorts of train travel and each has its benefits. I've made a circuit from Budapest, Krakow, Prague, and Bratislava. I've traveled from Portland to Seattle. I've gone from Tokyo to Hiroshima. They're all great and offer different benefits. #TTOT
