In this book by was an essay from @rich_barton titled "The travel agent of the 21st Century lives in your ear." The idea was that an automated guide would speak to you via earpiece as you walked. I thought that was CRAZY. Buuuuut. #TWchats

A8. I would say travel web sites has transformed travel the most as more and more people book vacations on their own rather than using an agent. #TWChats. https://t.co/yNfw3BNftJ

A8: The enhanced Wi-Fi capabilities on our ships and on flights have truly changed the game. This gives you the opportunity to catch up on a long flight, or even share your experience socially while on a cruise. #TWchats via @mindypoder

A8: Locks are remarkable examples of engineering that were transformative to the #rivercruising industry because they allowed ships to cross the summit of the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. #TWchats

Q9: The benefits of paper travel documents vs. e-docs: Discuss #Twchats
That's easy! Depending on where in the world you're traveling you may need paper travel docs. But if you know you can use your e-docs where you're going that's always best.

A8: Travel apps have changed vacationing forever. From maps to guides, to reservations, there's so much you can do on a phone. We think that these are great, but we also think unplugging on your trip is necessary. Need help? We've got you covered: https://t.co/BavStrxRvx #TWChats

Good point. There is so much now available, depending on your personal interests and preferred way of travel. #TWChats https://t.co/4pvPgqpNkD

I actually will often print out paper travel docs, but I'm trying to ease out of that habit. Nowadays apps such as Dropbox, Google Docs and Google Sheets allow you to view items offline. #Twchats

A9: The benefit of e-docs: Helping Mother Earth! 🌎
The benefit of paper docs: The rush of excitement you get when holding that itinerary for the first time (plus, if Wi-Fi connectivity is scarce, you have all your information in-hand and at the ready!) #TWChats
