A3: Trust is more important than ever, meaning expertise and experience will sometimes outweigh destination. Top-notch guides, accommodations, and more will have to stand for health and safety before guests feel safe to focus on exploring and experiencing the world. #TWChats

A3: They’ll be VERY cautious, especially about cancellation policies, which have to be looser. Because there will be a lot of uncertainty in the near future, and circumstances can change suddenly. #TWchats

A3 Based on a recent survey of @AFARmedia travelers, they're looking for more security and flexibility when booking. I suspect this will apply not only in the near term but also in the longer term as travelers navigate the complex reopening of borders, air, and hotels. #TWchats

A3: Based on our recent survey, US travelers will probably stay closer to home (at least for now.) We anticipate more questions about what safety precautions are being followed by airlines, hotels, and cruise lines.

A3: @twtravelnews When it comes to travel planning, we think we'll see more and more travelers working with travel advisors. These experts can help make the travel planning process seamless and help make your vacation hassle-free. #TWchats

A3: I think advisors & consumers will remember who, at this point, are doing right by them - and who is not. The biggest change will be the number of suppliers removed from the consideration set. #TWChats

A3 You take a lot for granted until it’s taken away from you. I think people will plan trips around their top priorities first—family, friends, what feels special—rather than a “because I can” getaway. #TWChats

A3 (part 2): Instead of asking “what can I get out of this place?” they might ask “What can I do to support this place?” #travelasaforceforgood #TWchats @afarmedia

A3. Average distance traveled from home - local trips will be king to start. Our travellers are sharing that first trips will most likely be within a 500 mile radius, and not involve flying. #TWchats

replying to @KGlowczewska A3: First, it’s about making a travel dreamlist—perfect time to do that, with so many borders still closed. Then--secluded places, where you can naturally distance: villas, small boats, little resort takeovers. And just out in big nature—the West, Canada, Africa. #TWchats

A3. Also, travel plans are going to have to include a flexible and generous cancellation policy! No one wants to be stuck paying for a trip that's no longer feasible, should conditions make travel impossible again. #TWchats

A3:Mexico never closed its borders or airports, and as of June will open all hotels and villas. This is a great Mexican itinerary we devised for just two families with kids. I’d definitely do this. @JourneyMexico #TWchats
