Q9: Major resort, lifestyle/boutique hotel or Airbnb? Which of these styles appeals to you most right now & why? #TWchats

A9: Boutique! They combine the expertise, access, and round-the-clock concierge service at major resorts with the close, personal care and privacy you'd find in an AirBnB. Friendly local experts (especially with languages!) on staff leads to peace of mind in a new place. #TWChats

A9 Both appeal and I think both will rebound in due time. Places that are remote and without crowds are more appealing to people who are averse to risk. I love a sweet A-frame in the woods and I love a resort that takes care of my whims. #TWchats

A9 Oh man...don’t make me choose! A 4th option: apartment-style accommodations with hotel-like services like breakfast delivery and daily cleaning, a la @lisboaapts. You get the space and amenities + you feel taken care of. #TWchats @afarmedia

A9: They all do --- are you kidding? Walmart has become a destination these days… And you can’t always get in! #TWchats

A9: I have enjoyed all of these styles, but right now I generally gravitate to the lifestyle/boutique hotel category for the mix of intimacy, personality, and service. #TWchats https://t.co/nNc6TxSrGZ

replying to @KGlowczewska A9: I’m a hotel person. I love the buzz in the lobby, the people watching, services like fitness centers. All that will be different in the near future, but still less isolating than a private place. Plus, hotels will have clear protocols and staffs to execute them. #TWChats

A9. Airbnb still appeals. Intimate, private spaces away from crowds of other guests, easy/practical for family to stay together in safe, small groups, and can be found away from the more crowded tourist centres. #TWchats

A9: Do we have to pick just one? One of the things we love most about the travel industry is that there is a property, destination, and experience for every personality. #TWchats

A9 I prefer small and intimate boutique hotels or private rental any way. Would definitely feel safer for the time being. #TWchats https://t.co/ymGPKSd08b

A9. not all #vacationrentals are an #airbnb! I would be more inclined to small, boutique style, professionally managed private vacation rentals #smallbiz #propertymanagers #villarentals #supportlocal #TWchats https://t.co/vZ9isnM5DU

A9: We are so inspired by boutique hotels right now! We are dreaming of @Meadowoodnews - situated on a 250-acre wine country estate, we can’t think of a better place for a getaway. #TWChats

replying to @TWtravelnews @TWtravelnews A9: A little bit of everything. We love the peace of mind a resort offers, the personalized touch of a boutique hotel and the sense of home with Airbnb. #TWChats

replying to @TWtravelnews @TWtravelnews A9: I hate these bourgeois places. I want to stay in a semi rundown hostel with other travelers. It’s my favorite way to travel. They already have their itinerary set and I just tag along without the hassle of planning. #TWChats

replying to @CNTraveler @CNTraveler A9. As much as I love hostels I don’t think dorm rooms are the safest places to be right now. Maybe that Japanese hotel with the robot staff. Yeah, that’ll work. #TWChats
