A10. Depends on if we're traveling solo or as part of a group! If solo, "buzzy" ticks all the boxes - love feeding off the energy and social atmosphere. In a couple/family, sometimes we prefer to retreat together, and a more introverted property is perfect. #TWchats

A10 An extrovert craves an extroverted hotel—but of course I fancy that right now. I haven’t been in a crowd in 2 months! Give me a whisky in a New Orleans lobby any day. #TWchats @afarmedia

replying to @TWtravelnews @TWtravelnews I have always been partial to small, family-run hotels as I like the more personal/authentic experience. However I am impressed by @FourSeasons right now & their recent communication on their enhanced health and safety practices. I would definitely stay in their hotels. #TWchats

Q10: Roundtable topic: hotelier Ian Schrager talked about "extrovert" hotels (buzzy, fun, high-energy) and "introvert" hotels (low-key, old-school, formal). Which do you fancy, and why? #TWchats

A10 (2/2): But I think it’s possible for hotels, particularly non-urban ones, to mix and match these qualities, and now I’m thinking about a recent trip my family took to @GoldenEyeResort in Jamaica. #TWchats https://t.co/o4M3UnuGso

replying to @TWtravelnews @TWtravelnews A9) I like major resorts the most but I will stay anywhere. I like the size of a large resort with a lot of amenities and things to do. #TWchats

replying to @CNTraveler @CNTraveler A7. I’ve been thinking a lot about the French Riviera lately. I wouldn’t mind stumbling straight out of a boulangerie and into a gelateria right now. #TWChats

A10: We like to think that #JumbyBayIsland appeals to travelers of all types! Itineraries can include everything from “high-energy” water sports to “low-key” dips in the pool. #TWchats

When we get some sort of control over C19, I prefer the high-energy places (I write a lot about Las Vegas, so it's what I'm used to). But in the first days back, the formality of old-school hotels may "feel" safer. #TWChats https://t.co/zRGz0ETV6Y

replying to @KGlowczewska A10: Depends. I stayed years ago one night at the “introvert” Connaught, in London. I ordered scrambled eggs in the restaurant. I have never been served something so ordinary so masterfully. But what fun, too, to walk into the buzzy lobby of @LaMamounia in Marrakech… #TWchats

A10: While we’re typically an “extroverted” bunch, we've recently gravitated towards daydreams of the old-school glamour and alpine coziness of @GstaadPalace. We would happily tuck away to the Swiss Alps, with a book and a bite of truffle and champagne cheese in hand. #TWchats

The best way to #travel in my opinion - you also get a taste of the local culture! But, it doesn't have to be an Airbnb, it can be a professionally managed #vacationrental #twchats https://t.co/f5ZHZ9dCtG

replying to @CNTraveler @CNTraveler Extrovert on a business/solo trip, so I can connect with others—I absolutely love hanging out in hotel coffee shops to get a feel for the city. And introvert when I'm traveling with family/friends and want to focus on those I'm with! #TWChats

A11: Much of the staff is in Northern California, and for many it's our happy place. We're lucky to have so much right here: San Francisco, Yosemite, Santa Cruz, Wine Country. Still, consensus was that our happy place is anywhere with friends, family, and fond memories. #TWChats
