Q6 How do you find good places to eat in Europe? Favorite apps, sites, tools? #TravelSkills @IndraPetersons @LuxeTiffany @Heather_Poole @greenwooddavis @NorieCicerone @WheresAndrew

A6. Wandering. I wander "until the day gets interesting." Usually, what's interesting is some hole in the wall where you can eat at the bar. #TravelSkills #travel (Quote by @rolfpotts)

A6 Apps like Yelp or Google Maps help you to get a quick overview about places around! #TravelSkills

replying to @GermanyTourism @GermanyTourism A6 I ask my friends on Facebook or followers on Twitter/Instagram. I also reference some apps but like to find out from locals. #TravelSkills

replying to @GermanyTourism @GermanyTourism A6 European food is generally of a higher caliber than food in the U.S., so it’s hard to go wrong #TravelSkills

replying to @GermanyTourism @GermanyTourism A6 Look for long lines. Example: I saw a line out of the Topaze bakery (near Pompidou) in Paris one morning, and then tasted the most sublime croissant of my life there! #TravelSkills

A6: We use apps like @TripAdvisor, look for places that seem to have a lot of locals, and crowd-source on social media: https://t.co/LrTwni98tW #TravelSkills

A6 We're a bit biased, but our website and our regional guidebooks share all of our favorite restaurants (and even top dishes) as well as our recommended hotels and favorite sites to see in any destination: https://t.co/hgJDcDyhvF #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A6 Get inspired by folks like @Bourdain and @RickSteves, Pinterest can be a great source of food inspiration no matter what your destination is. Blogs are great, too. #TravelSkills

A6. I also try to look for counter-intuitive restos. For instance, this Cuban restaurant and bar in (wait for it) Riga, Latvia. #TravelSkills #travel

replying to @GermanyTourism @GermanyTourism A6 Don’t ask a taxi driver or concierge where you should go eat. Ask instead where they take their family to eat! #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A6: Discovered this on my last trip to Paris. https://t.co/OvrlrnDWYz I also rely on locals; less so on guidebooks, etc. I went to one Berlin restaurant on the advice of a Monocle guidebook and found LUNCH was 75 euros. Good Lord. #TravelSkills

A6: Just wander into real neighborhoods and judge crowds over decor or apps to find good food. #travelskills

A6. In the past I’ve posed questions to @tripskyscanner for local recommendations. But I’ll also just explore neighborhoods & use @TripAdvisor to check stats on a place I’ve come across - like this great #beachront find @HartBeach in #Scheveningen #Netherlands

A6 we agree @SmarterTravel - social media is a great resource for finding cool spots - often don't even need Trip Advisor! #digitalmarketing #TravelSkills https://t.co/iHW8fq48mG
