Q8 How can airlines design their planes better? #TravelSkills

JohnnyJet

replying to @BestWestern @BestWestern A8 They could all have powerports and not ones that require advance yoga training to find #TravelSkills

replying to @BestWestern @BestWestern A8 I know it’s a pipe dream, but how about fewer seats with more space in between? #TravelSkills

A8. Better design on planes? Overhead bins tall enough to take rollaboards on their sides. View screens on every seat. Give back some legroom! #TravelSkills

a.A8. Air travel should be just like your hotel experience – stylish & comfortable. 😎️ Did you know we renovated hotels around the world to fit your lifestyle? Take a digital tour of our design studio to learn more: https://t.co/lqRfsCGf3W #TravelSkills #TodaysBW

replying to @BestWestern @BestWestern A8 More leg and shoulder room so each passenger can work comfortably on a laptop #TravelSkills

A8: Oh there’s no good answer here really. They know what they need to do, but they usually don’t do it. In Business class long haul though I love the compartment seats like on Cathay Pacific #travelskills

A8 Give People More Room! Stop Cramming in more Rows! I like this idea from Popular Science #TravelSkills

A8: Two words: MORE LEGROOM. These are the airlines that offer the most space in an industry where it's always shrinking: https://t.co/9s8DlTyxlA #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A8. More foot room – even in economy! Free and useable wifi (yes, we’re tech obsessed) more outlets – anything to make longer journeys seem shorter. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A8: Anything (hah) that reduces the odds of hitting severe turbulence. I can stand a lot but that make me fearful every time I fly. I do love premium economy. Makes a real difference. #travelskills

A8. More shoulder room as well as more legroom. Larger restrooms. Sadly, I think most airlines will ignore all these ideas because they like the revenue they get when taking these things out. #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A8 Aside from the obvious (leg room), better seatback pockets, cup holders, in-seat chargers, etc. Would also be great to fix the "I need to pee but the cart is in the aisle" conundrum #travelskills

replying to @BestWestern @BestWestern A8 I wish airlines would remove those smaller overhead bins on older planes and replace them with more spacious new ones! So frustrating. #TravelSkills

replying to @LandLopers @LandLopers A8 I mean, I like what Virgin and Emirates have tried to do but there's just no way around the fact that planes are awful. Too many seats, too many people, even in 1st class unless you have a private cabin. Cut the passengers by 1/3 to 1/2! 👍 #TravelSkills

A8. Airline won't change the design; but they could fix the class-focused boarding process that makes everyone SUPER SALTY before they board. #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A8: I refuse to believe airlines can’t make things comfortable and profitable. Accessible power outlets are a must, 110 and USB. I think some airlines are offloading IFE before they’re ready. #TravelSkills

A8. Amendment: Airlines should not allow seat reclines on flights less than 6 hours. Anyone who reclines their seat during a 2 hour midday flight is a sociopath and should not be encouraged. #Travelskills

A8 Where to start? Aisles that humans can navigate with their bags, seats that don't squeeze you in like sardines, and air pressure systems that actually work so I don't bust my eardrums #travelskills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A8 my biggest complaint is when the seats have lost their padding and you’re sitting on metal. Please airlines, make this simple improvement! #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A8 Ergonomics can always be improved for all classes of service. Cabins don’t always have to be grey or white. I like what my friends @tangerinelondon have created (@VirginAustralia is an example of great airline on board design) #TravelSkills
