replying to @AllianzTravelUS @AllianzTravelUS A4 I always have good experiences with National (@nationalpro) but it isn’t always the least expensive. You get what you pay for! #TravelSkills

replying to @AllianzTravelUS @AllianzTravelUS A4 The best was with @silvercar when they picked me up curbside when I arrived. The worst was waiting in a long line in Honolulu years ago to wait for a rental. #TravelSkills

A4: They’ve all been humdrum actually - nothing terrible and nothing awesome. Never get those amazing upgrades #TravelSkills

A4: This was our worst—though it turned into a pretty good travel lesson in the end: https://t.co/WmMOxt0FSU #TravelSkills

A4. Haven't rented a car that often though we did rent a van in California that didn't have the best brakes, which wasn't good on Route 1. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A4: Once, when I was in college, I rented a car that had a steady thumping noise in the back.
That came from the trunk.
I returned it, no questions asked.

A4. My best and worst rental experiences were in SE Asia renting scooters. On the one hand, you get the freedom of two wheels to explore. On the other...the brakes don't always work so well. #travelskills

A4: The worst car rental experience was on a recent trip to Mexico where the company tried to triple the quoted rate and cited bogus insurance requirements (I’m an attorney and read the fine print / requirements beforehand so was ready for the challenge)! 👩🏻‍⚖️🙅🏻‍♀️ #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A4: the worst start to be the lowcost ones, cause too popular, pre-ordered or not: long queues. Also ripping u off with evevey single small scratch dammage. Go for the regular bigger chains. #travelskills

A4. Worst rental car experience? Lisbon. Took me half an hour to get out of the rental garage because I couldn't find reverse on the manual transmission. Har! #TravelSkills

A4. Best car rental experience: that time we rented a car in St. Lucia with a broken bumper. Tried to get a discount, ended up with the name of an incredible roti/curry place in a hardware store. Lesson learned: talk to people! #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A4: This would be both. I rented from Sixt in Denver and thought I checked the car over. Sunshine hit the chrome around the window next day and it looked like hail damage, but no hail. It put a damper on my whole trip. Sixt came through and didn't charge me. A+ #TravelSkills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A4 scoring a Mustang convertible as a rental car is amazing. I have been lucky more than once. #travel #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A4. Worst --> When @Hertz in Cancun added an extra two zeros to the total amount due making it $20,000 to rent a car for a week! #travelskills

A4. Worst rental experience: I don’t think I have one. Well, I’m not a fan of red cars and it seems like I always end up with one whenever I rent a car. That or I get a car that smells. Hey car rental agencies, don’t try to cover up mold with fragrance! #Travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A4: I rent a car about 55x to 65x/ year. Too many good experiences to count. Worst experience when I crashed and totaled my Chevrolet Cruze in Wisconsin. Spent 6 months dealing with insurance issues related to that incident. #TravelSkills
