A7: #TravelSkills When staying in one of our Wyndham resorts, it is always nice to pick up some fresh local foods and utilize the kitchen in the room for cooking. Great for an inexpensive & low-key night in.

A7: Visit in the off-season. You can find amazing deals on hotels, restaurants, activities and more in Naples and Marco Island during the summer months. #TravelSkills

replying to @wyndestinations @wyndestinations A7 There are a number of ways. Look into alternate accommodations and don’t go to expensive restaurants. Go to a grocery store/farmers market and buy food for a picnic. #TravelSkills

replying to @wyndestinations @wyndestinations A7 I’m lucky that I have the flexibility to travel during the slower season and take advantage of cheap rates #TravelSkills

A7 Travel during the off season, be flexible on dates, eat from street vendors not at restaurants, and work with a professional travel agent. #travelskills

Eat where the locals eat, I find great, inexpensive Asian cuisine in cities all over the world. If you want to try a fancy restaurant, go at lunch when prices are lower. Also, try happy hours for great deals, especially in the U.S. Canada not as much :(

A7 My accountant will be more than happy to tell you that I'm terrible at saving money while traveling, regardless of the destination. Don't save money while on vacation. Save it another time. #TravelSkills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A7 #TravelSkills Go local! Supporting small businesses is a positive, and so is shopping at local grocery stores! The first place I go in a new place is the grocer: you save money on all sorts of goods and find out so much about the culture just by going to a grocer.

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A7 Try to get a hotel room with a mini frig and microwave that way at least you can reheat leftovers if you have any. Also having a coffee/tea maker in the room helps too. #TravelSkills

A7. I save money by not going to destinations that are known to be expensive. Or I go the first day of low season because it’s still like high season. That’s my trick for an affordable Hawaiian vacation. I also book rentals a few days before departure. Better deals! #TravelSkills
