Only been whale-watching once. Not sure why haven't done it more often because it's a very cool experience. Maui is great for whales this time of year as they love to congregrate in the waters west of #Maui. Great trips to be had out of Lahaina. A5 #travelskills @gohawaiica

replying to @mauivisit @mauivisit A6 To me, Hawaii seems like one of the most racially diverse places on Earth. Heartwarming and a good example for the rest of our country. #TravelSkills

A6. Culture in the islands? The Paepae o He'eia fish ponds on the north side of #Oahu offer amazing insight into 800-year-old sustainable fishing. #TravelSkills

replying to @mauivisit @mauivisit A6 The Hawaiian population is a spicy mix of the various waves of immigration to the island (Polynesians, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, European, Filipino, Portuguese, Puerto Rican…) #TravelSkills

replying to @mauivisit @mauivisit TIP Hawaiians are those with Hawaiian blood in them. Locals are people who live in Hawaii. #TravelSkills

A6: Hawaii is home to the only royal palace in the US, fun fact that comes up a lot in trivia questions. Also, on Lanai you can rent a jeep and head out into the bush to discover ancient petroglyphs carved on the rocks, which I think is cool. #Travelskills

A6 Hawaiian culture originated in Polynesia. Voyagers settled here and sailed the seas by Outrigger Canoe. #travelskills

A6. I know that Hawaii was once a Kingdom that had kings and queens, it was the first state to ban plastic bags (love that!), and the name comes from Polynesian language meaning 'Place of the Gods' or 'Homeland.'
