A1. I've never been to Australia but years ago owned a Land Rover and every time I drove it I felt a little like Crocodile Dundee. All I needed was the hat. I loved that truck. Fun to drive #TravelSkills
replying to @travelskills @travelskills A1: Not yet. But it will be my LAST continent after my Antarctica trip in March. Currently reading "In A Sunburned Country" to prepare! HA! #travelskills

Q2 Best tip for a first-time visitor to Australia? #TravelSkills @SmarterTravel @BBC_Travel @Travelzoo @andrewmhickey @thepointsguy
replying to @LandLopers @LandLopers @Australia Do you have a favorite state? Which do you recommend for a first visit to @Australia? #travelskills
replying to @Australia @Australia A2 You don’t need to go for two weeks. Australia is very doable in a week if you’re flying from the west coast or Dallas since there are non-stop flights. Obviously, the longer you go the better but it’s better to go for a short time than not at all. #TravelSkills
replying to @52perfectdays @52perfectdays @Travelzoo It's doable in a week, but I would try and concentrate on one region and not try to see it all. #TravelSkills
A2: First-time visitors should know what NOT to do, so they won't have to learn from mistakes #travelskills https://t.co/1ozrDWAb1D
replying to @Australia @Australia A2 Flying TO Australia from the U.S. is a lot easier (jetlag-wise) than flying home. Esp when it’s winter here and summer there! #TravelSkills
A2 I will advise first time visitors to try not to cram everything into one visit. I was there for a month and had to skip so many places. #TravelSkills

A2 I don't know! Feel free to tag me on your first-time to Australia #TravelTips! No, seriously. tag me. Especially if you've got recommendations for #Melbourne! #TravelSkills
A2 Best Tip 1st Time to Oz: Oz's seasons are reversed from US/Europe (North Hemisphere) aka if you go during our summer, it will be their winter. We assume it's always beach weather; it's not #TravelSkills :) https://t.co/cvNAFD9Tuu
replying to @cjmcginnis @cjmcginnis @Australia I didn’t know you lived in Australia! How could I not know this?! #TravelSkills
A2 Don't try to do everything unless you have at least a month. Plan to fly between destinations as distances are looonnnggg. Rent a car to explore. #TravelSkills https://t.co/GTPp3aW1o5
