replying to @ADayinOnePlace @ADayinOnePlace @travelskills @flySFO @iah My beef with IAH Terminal E is the PreCheck line tends to be closed often. Also as E is primarily an international terminal with lots of foreign travelers it takes people on average a lot longer to get through security than it does at C. #TravelSkills

A3. Soon to be ex is a frequent flier, so I've been to a few airline lounges. They're nice. I'd like to see what Emirate's is like, and also Singapore or Cathay. I'd like to see what money can buy in a luxurious lounge. I'm particularly interested in the food. #TravelSkills

replying to @NewYorkHabitat @NewYorkHabitat I don't understand why so many people switch off their brains when they travel. Mind boggling #travelskills

Thanks for joining the #TravelSkills chat! Today, we’re talking about airports with @united!

A8. Not trying to be mean but don't stand up and wait in a line if it's not your number yet or maybe 2-3 spots behind the ones being called. #TravelSkills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A8: Stay seated until debarking gets near your row. Even if you're in row 59, you're not going to get off before the rows before you by standing. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A8. We travel as light as possible and our small bags fit under the seat. When we land, we have all of our things gathered and packed so that we do not hold anyone up. #travel #TravelSkills #airport #travelchat #organized

A4. Best airport for dining? in the US, Miami: Cuban food. It's all about the local cuisine and Miami does it best. Overseas, Europe, airport food is waaaay better, just like airplane food tastes better when you're departing from a foreign country. #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A9 My favorite used to be the Kogi BBQ tacos at LAX but for some dumb reason the airport doesn’t offer them anymore. Now I usually eat in a lounge. #TravelSkills @kogibbq

replying to @united @united A9 I love a good bowl of chowdah when flying through @BostonLogan! #TravelSkills

A9. Favorite #airport #food? Had these shrimp dumplings at Taipei's airport after a really long flight. For breakfast. #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A8: Don't stand in the aisle and remove your jacket or don't fumble with your stuff in your carry on, listen to the FAs when they tell you how & where to stow luggage, and get out of the way of the people behind you. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A9: We just love a (local) beer on the ground and a ginger ale in the air. The combination soothes the nerves and the stomach! #TravelSkills

A5. I think most people go to the airport lounge for the space - quiet. A place to sit. A place to drink water and coffee. A place to eat cheese because frequent fliers get served a lot of cheese. A clean toilet. #TravelSkills

replying to @AbFabSkyLife @AbFabSkyLife Except they're making the seats so tight in economy these days that you have no place left for your feet, esp if you're tall #TravelSkills
