Q5 Do you think the world will eventually move to "cashless" payments? Why or why not? #VisaAmbassador #TravelSkills

A5 "Do you think the world will eventually move to "cashless" payments?" No way. Convenience if fantastic, but I still think #CashIsKing #TravelSkills

replying to @VisaNews @VisaNews A5 I do. I rarely use cash anymore at home and abroad. When I went to London a few months ago I didn’t use cash once, and I was there for a week. #VisaAmbassador #TravelSkills

replying to @VisaNews @VisaNews A5 Yes, it seems that way. My trips to the ATM for cash are down about 80% in the last five years! #VisaAmbassador #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A5: Eventually is a long time. :) I personally think it could go the other way, where more vendors in certain situations want the immediacy and unflappability of cash. #TravelSkills

A5: The world will eventually get there, but some street vendors in Asia might take a while to adopt. #TravelSkills

A5 It's basically there now. So, yes, I think cash will become a thing of the past #TravelSkills

A5. We already are cashless and card-dependent for the most part. But will printed currency go away completely? I don't think in my lifetime, no. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A5 Yes and governments like that a lot. Aside from cost savings from not having to make coins & banknotes, e-payments make it much easier for governments to track where people are, how much they spend and on what. Really it isn’t for convenience. #TravelSkills

replying to @VisaNews @VisaNews A5 On most business trips these days, the only time I use cash is to tip hotel housekeepers. $3-$5 per day usually. #TravelSkills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A5. No I do not believe that will happen. There are problems that could arise from going cashless though some countries could see some value due to the cost and security to keep cash safe. #travel #travelskills #VisaAmbassador

A5. Cashless is a nice thought, but there are billions of people who still operate tiny businesses and farmer's markets and small farms who don't have any use for electronic payments yet. It will be a while. #travelskills #travel

A5 I think cashless payments are the way of the future. We already have the technology -- it's just about the financial industry getting the will to take that step #TravelSkills
