replying to @united @united A9 Book a window seat, always use a mask and earplugs, and listen to soft music. Also let the FA/your seatmates know you don’t want food. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A9. Lay off the alcohol. You might think that glass of 🍷 helps you sleep but it just dehydrates you #TravelSkills

A9 If you have trouble sleeping, bring your own pillow, blanket and comfy clothes to help you feel more relaxed. #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A9 Try to book a window seat in economy. You can lean against the wall and won’t get bumped by flight attendants or passengers. #TravelSkills

A9: Well, if it’s a VERY long flight it should just come naturally. Anything less than 10 hours though and I can’t usually sleep so I just watch movies lol #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A9: Show up to your flight after a decent amount of walking or excercise or show up tired. Getting sleep through natural methods is far healthier and better for you than using medication to induce sleep. #Travelskills

replying to @cjmcginnis @cjmcginnis A9: I used to get as high as possible before a flight, but security theatre is weird, so I don't do that anymore. Oh, and I'm old. Still, the medication I have to take usually just knocks me out. Earbuds and an eye mask also helps. #TravelSkills

A9 Can’t sleep on flights no matter what? Bring a guide book and use the time to plan or check out the travel section on the United Hub. https://t.co/brr9ud5uw7 #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A9 Too bad eating more desserts wouldn't help. 😋 I'd say use a meditation app and some melatonin. #TravelSkills

A9: Use your miles to get a seat up front. Otherwise, probably medicate. #TravelSkills https://t.co/VuM9ameA8u

A9. 1. Sleep on your left side? Choose left side of the plane so you can lean your head against wall. 2. Move carry on against seat so you can stretch your legs under seat in front of you. 3. Use jacket as lumbar support. 4. Wear headphones. Listen to relaxing music #TravelSkills

A9: Melatonin can be helpful if you take it at the correct destination time based on your flight times, your sleep profile and the amount of time zone changes on your trip.
