replying to @Australia @Australia A1 Since I’m not a parent, I’d say: earplugs, eyemasks for me, candy, and cartoon-stocked tablets for the kids! #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia A1 If they’re young, time their naps and make sure you bring things to keep them occupied in case the entertainment system isn’t working. #TravelSkills

A1: We think that having the right snacks helps the time fly by! Here’s a great recipe for fruit leather that is great for traveling: https://t.co/jEogPioRq8 #TravelSkills

Best tips for long flights with kids? The big box of Benedryl from Costco. And maybe some vodka. ;-) #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A1 Keep them entertained with media. A movie works. iPads are a parents’ best friend. #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia A1 Don’t rely on the plane’s entertainment systems. Not every airline has them and sometimes they break. Be sure to bring your own device and have it fully charged. #TravelSkills

A1: I would imagine that iPads are the way to go, but extra drowsy Dramamine would work too… #Travelskills #NotAParent

A1 We hear great things about Travelpack from @TropicCandycorn, with things like the unicorn-shaped zen pillow, infused with lavender oil, inflatable world globe, stickers, mini flashlight, crayons & other noise-and mess-free surprises: https://t.co/4Q2yItJnur #TravelSkills

Dealing w/ kids on a long-flight isn't easy, but parents today have it FAR better than a few years ago w/ iPads, streaming movies & other entertaiment options. All we had back in the day were books and one movie for everyone on the plane on those tiny screens! A1 #TravelSkills

A1 As a dad who's taken 3 kids on flights to places like #Hawaii and #Ireland, I find that the earlier and the more often you put them on a plane, the easier air #travel w/them becomes. they learn to fend for themselves w/in a confined space, not an easy lesson! #TravelSkills

Depending on their age, see if you can time their nap with the flight (I like @JetKidscom’s BedBox). For older kids, iPad, grade-level workbooks, books and snacks. Get them a window seat, get them involved in travel by visiting the cockpit! Last, bring snacks. #TravelSkills

A1 For long #flights w/kids, try to book bulkhead seats for extra room, don't put them on the aisle (those carts hurt) and pre-plan: charge their iPads & load them w/movies, bring snacks. also, keep them busy by mapping out things to do at your destination! #TravelSkills
