Q7 What's your secret remedy for jet lag? #TravelSkills

terrytravels1

Q2 What airlines have the best entertainment options on long-haul international flights? I’m partial to @QantasUSA, @VirginAustralia & #airnewzealand due to charming #flightcrews but @delta is my #USA favorite #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia A7 Sunlight! It’s jetlag’s kryptonite so if I arrive in the early morning, which many long-hauls tend to do, I go for a walk. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A7 Mentally adapting to the time at the destination as soon as feasible. Unless planning to interact with someone in that time zone it no longer matters to you what time it is back home. #TravelSkills

A7 Jet lag is a fact of life & there's only so much you can do about it. Don't think about the time where you were, think about the time where you are/will be. Get on your destination's sleep schedule ASAP. Get some fresh air. You'll be fine. #TravelSkills https://t.co/V0ANuGsREa

A7: No real remedy, just stay hydrated before, during & after the flight and try to get as much natural sunlight as possible once you arrive. And don’t nap! #travelskills

A7. Secret jet lag remedy? Either crash and reset or tough it out. Depends on the destination and when you arrive. And @RedBull. Lots of it. #travelskills

A7 Adjust to the time of where you are as soon as possible. The more well-rested you are, the less it will affect you. #travelskills

A7: For jet lag I would recommend drinking water, avoiding coffee, wearing loose clothes (like yoga pants) on the flight, and taking a shower when you get to your destination. #TravelSkills

replying to @cjmcginnis @cjmcginnis A7: Our top tip is to never take a nap after a long-haul flight. Usually, we schedule meetings upon arriving so we can hit the ground running and keep a proper sleep schedule. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A7. Try to get into the destination sleep cycle before you travel if possible. Sleep on board in time with destination. Travelling west, stay awake on arrival. Travelling east, melatonin to help get you off to sleep is good (but going east sucks). #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A7: stay up as long as possible when I land. Just got back from Switzerland where I spent no time jet lagged because I kept busy the day I arrived and stayed up until 9 pm. From then on I was almost exactly on my home schedule #TravelSkills

A7. I was asked to try Voke Tabs after my last overseas trip. I'm firmly (and sadly) in the jet leg denial group but it worked! I'm not even going to add their url (this isn't an ad)--it worked! #TravelSkills

A7: I listen to my body. If tired I get to my room ( usually pre-arranged to checkin early or late) shower, unpack, #nap or go out. Usually looking for #soup that first night. I have some great soup stories! #TravelSkills @Australia #mushroomsoup

A7- If I have it in me, I try to stay up the night before a long flight and wait until they cut the lights off and down the window shades to sleep. It works in theory, but there have been plenty of times I'm asleep before takeoff #travelskills #travelingsession
