TravelSkills

Q5 Do you prefer one really long-haul flight or would you rather stop halfway for a breather? #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia A5 These days I prefer shorter hops so I can see more places. #TravelSkills

A5. Long-haul vs. stopping halfway? It’s like ripping off a bandaid – get it over with. Would rather spend the time at the destination than in yet another airport. #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A4: We love when work takes us to Australia. Sydney and Melbourne are obviously great cities, but we love Perth and Adelaide, too. #TravelSkills

Q4 Have I flown to Australia before? Yes, and I dream about returning. @SeeAustralia isn’t a #bucketlist spot, it’s a must return #destination - from #koalas to #kangaroos & #australians, I can’t wait to go back To @southaustralia, @Queensland etc. #TravelSkills

replying to @JimByersTravel @JimByersTravel I went to cover the Whitbread/Volvo around the world yacht race in 1998, as Sydney and Auckland were two of its stops #TravelSkills

replying to @followsummergg @followsummergg I woke him up and he wasn't happy. Koalas in general are pretty cranky actually. :) #travelskills

replying to @FlyingPhotog @FlyingPhotog @VirginAustralia They're just the emergency ones in the ceiling. It's why you could only have 6 people at that biz class bar at a time. Only 6 oxygen masks. Har! #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills #TravelSkills A5) Give me one direct flight anywhere any day, no matter how long, provided I'm in business or higher.

replying to @Australia @Australia A5 If I’m flying on economy class, a stop along the way is nice—even if it’s just for a few hours #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia TIP Many airlines like @HawaiianAir, @Icelandair, @Finnair offer free stopovers so you can break up long flights and see more places #TravelSkills

A5: One very long flight please, I just want to get there. Killing time in airports can be a pain, lounge or no lounge #travelskills

A5. If I am in First Class, I don't mind long haul flights. If I can't be, then I'd prefer to do a Stopover and break up the journey. #TravelSkills @travelskills

A5: Get it all done in one go, but don't try it without a few key survival tips: https://t.co/7ejTdIj4YT #TravelSkills

A5 It's much better to have one long flight than two shorter ones. The more flights, the more chances for delays and missed connections. Just rip the bandage off with one flight. Steel yourself and get it over with. #TravelSkills

replying to @TravelEsquire @TravelEsquire And patience - always remember to pack your patience! 😅 Great list! #TravelSkills #travel

replying to @Australia @Australia @travelskills Absolutely! I remember when I was returning from Australia on my first trip, I had a glass of wine after dinner, and I didn't realize when I landed. #TravelSkills

A5 Flying from the east coast to #Hawaii I’d stop off in San Fran for a few days. The trip out is not too bad but coming home is brutal. #travelskills

replying to @cjmcginnis
@cjmcginnis A5: one long flight beats having a layover. Unless, the layover is planned to be for a couple of days, which I did before.
#TravelSkills

A6. One really long-haul flight!, please! Although that is rare since I live in Sun Valley, Idaho. even getting to LA can be challenging! #TravelSkills

replying to @cjmcginnis @cjmcginnis A5: If you stop halfway, you get some time to relax and explore a new destination (if you have enough time and if you're feeling up to it, of course). #travelskills

Long hauls! You don't have to worry about missed connections-just sleep or watch movies or read-it's a great escape. #TravelSkills https://t.co/lGIwZEJXYh

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A5 One long flight if you’re in a hurry or seated in Business Class. A stopover stretch can be nice especially if that stopover airport is one with good amenities for transiting passengers. #TravelSkills
