replying to @travelskills @travelskills A5 I don't have a preference. I've never felt too terribly uncomfortable on planes before. But if I had to choose, I'd probably go full flight. If there is a stop for a "breather" anywhere, it'll be a full stop #adventure. Gotta go see the sites! #TravelSkills

replying to @LandLopers @LandLopers Long haul is my preference. It's quite the spectacle to board a plane. Having to do it twice to get to one destination? Pass 🤗 #travelskills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills A5: A really great question. I would say that if I can stopover and spend a day or 2 in another great location, I would prefer that. Just to sit at an airport halfway, no. Give me the long flight and just get me there #Travelskills

A5 100% prefer non-stop. I also prefer flights 11+ hours so I can eat and get a full 8 hour sleep. Yes, I know that's weird #TravelSkills

A5: If the flight does not cost extra, I would stop halfway, and do a day layover somewhere! However, if it costs extra, I will do the long-haul flight the entire way, and prefer to get to my destination sooner. #TravelSkills

replying to @talkintravelgal @talkintravelgal A5: For those of us who REALLY hate and fear turbulence (me), the idea of 10+ hours in a plane is tough. I had a rough 10 hr flight yrs ago across the Pacific, w turbulence halfway. That was exhausting for me. #TravelSkills

replying to @travelskills @travelskills It depends on what destination I'm flying to but stopping half way for a breather does help.

How about 20+hrs?

Montreal-Chicago =2 hrs
Chicago-San Francisco= 5 hours
San Francisco - Sydney= 14 hours

Yes, it was very long but getting to @Australia was so worth it 🙋

replying to @Australia @Australia A6 I’m not a great sleeper on planes even in first class. I don’t take any pills so I tend to work. That way when I get to my destination I can enjoy it instead of working in my room. #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia TIP Everyone is different when it comes to sleeping on planes. Find out what works for you but don’t ever take a sleeping pill for the very first time on a plane. Test it first. #TravelSkills

A6: It’s not good. I can only sleep on VERY long flights, 12 hours+. Anything less and I just watch as many movies as I can #travelskills

A6 My experience sleeping on planes? I have more inexperience sleeping on planes, alas. It's possible, but even in business class, sleep is so easily interrupted by turbulence or noise. Have a drink or two, take a "Simply Sleep" pill and good luck. #TravelSkills

replying to @Travellersoul76 @Travellersoul76 @ShermansTravel @JohnnyJet @laurenvdana A cup of coffee usually fixes me up pretty quickly. Also, this is controversial among frequent fliers, but I usually let myself sleep when I need to on arrival day, rather than trying to immediately set my internal clock to the new destination. #travelskills
