#NYC: New York City
TravelSkills

A1- I've only been to #NYC once, but it's on my radar to revisit #travelskills #travelingsession

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A2 Been to New York too many times to count. The first time was in 1977, doing the bicentennial trip a year late. #TravelSkills last time last January

A2- The best thind about #NYC is that there is something going on 24/7, which works well with my insomnia #travelskills #travelingsession

A2 My favourite thing has to be 🎭 BROADWAY! Just saw Come From Away and it was awesome. In terms of least favourite. There are many smells in the city. Not all are pleasant. #TravelSkills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet @mommypoints @AndreaFeczko @JimByersTravel @LandLopers @SpudHilton @GabeSaglie @andrewzimmern @joshuagates @ZachHonig @GlobeTrotScott @FlyingPhotog @Heather_Poole @richdemuro @IndraPetersons A2 Favorite Thing about NYC is the food. and the museums. and the history. Least favorite is the cost of hotels #TravelSkills

A2 Best: Broadway! Worst: The grime and humidity (big hair!) photo: me interviewing @bstokesmitchell! #TravelSkills

A2. Fav? CULTURE! Parks, museums (like @metmuseum & The Cloisters, @Guggenheim, @frickcollection, @MorganLibrary etc) & more. There's so much to do if you have the money to do it. Least fav? Cost/benefit ratio of day2day life living there. #TravelSkills

A3. Top tip for first-timers to NYC? Don’t try to do it all. Pick your top goals and spend real time there. And get out of Manhattan. #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A3 Stay away from Times Square unless you’re going to a show. Go for a stroll or picnic in Central Park. #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A3 When you buy new shoes in NYC, don’t try to break them in on the city streets. You’ll get blisters! #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A3 Fly in or out of Newark airport and take the train to Penn Station. By far the easiest, fastest way in/out of town. Bonus if your hotel is in the area! #TravelSkills

A3: Go slow and don’t be overwhelmed. You can’t do it all in one trip so don’t try! Also, eat all the food #TravelSkills

A3. Don't be afraid of the subway! Take it, that will make your trip less expensive. Don't rely on taxis and uber or lyft. Also pack good walking shoes so you can see the city by foot. That's when it's at its best! #TravelSkills

One of my favorite pics of NYC in the fall - from the top of The Pierre Hotel #TravelSkills

A2: see answer 1! Quick and easy weekend getaway from #Toronto! The Museums including @metmuseum and @MuseumofCityNY. Least Favourite? Nothing really except getting over my fear of getting lost! #TravelSkills
