@travelskills A3. Even if you like to walk, things are much further apart than they appear on the map.
Also, plan ahead. Lodging will be your biggest expense.

A3- #NYC is a big place. Schedule a tour to get a good layout of the city, then go back and see the places you really want on your own #travelskills #travelingsession

A3. Don't have tickets to the show you are dying to see? Great tips on getting discount tickets from @Playbill here: https://t.co/sT0NwyZ1b8 #TravelSkills

Who to explore #NYC with? Loved rocking Time Square with this hip dude! #TravelSkills @JohnnyJet

replying to @travelskills @travelskills @united Welcome! I follow @united ! I have flown with them to visit my son in China! #TravelSkills

Definitely explore beyond Manhattan. Places like City Island and Wave Hill Gardens in the Bronx are terrific. In #Brookyln, I love a storefront museum called The City Reliquary, w/funky items from Statue of Liberty, Brookklyn Dodgers, World’s Fair, more. A4 #TravelSkills @nycgo

A3 Tip for #NYC first-timer? Look out the window when you're on approach -- 5000 feet in the sky is one of the best vantage points of this awesome city! This shot take while on a recent @united #LAX-#EWR #flight. #TravelSkills

My favorite #NYC companion? @reneesaglie! During a recent visit, we loved the decor at @ThePierreNY, on our way to a fantastic meal at @PerrineNYC, on one of those awesome @Travelzoo #diningdeals! #TravelSkills

TIP Keep your eyes peeled for our New York/New Jersey woman-designed #HerArtHere plane by Corinne A.! #TravelSkills

A4. Best things outside the tourist attractions? In Brooklyn, get to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and Prospect Park. Also, check out the New York Transit Museum. #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A4 Rent a rowboat in Central Park at the Loeb Boathouse ($15 an hour). #TravelSkills

A4: From underrated museums to the Staten Island Ferry, these hidden gems are just as good as the crowded attractions https://t.co/PJgEIGlzSN #TravelSkills

A4. Do your research to visit lesser-known museums and cultural institutions. I am the first to say @metmuseum is AMAZING but it's not NYC's only gem of a museum. There are so so many great ones like the Tenement Museum and the Morris-Jumel Mansion. #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A4 Go uptown and explore Columbia University and the surrounding area- gorgeous architecture, parks, people watching #TravelSkills

A3: I agree with @LandLopers. Take it slow and get out and walk. Don’t be afraid of getting lost either. Also get a @nycgo @CityPASS. So worth it! #TravelSkills @CityPASS_PR
