replying to @united @united TIP I love taking in the typical sites like the big Christmas tree and ice skating at Rockefeller Center. But I go EARLY in the day to avoid crowds. #TravelSkills

A7 New York City is absolutely magical during the holidays! The decorations make the cold bearable☺. #TravelSkills

Q6: My favorite New York City airport is JFK because you're able to easily take the AirTrain and subway into the city. All other airports aren't as easily accessible via public transit and require a rideshare, which can get pricey when traveling on a budget #TravelSkills

A7 I'm no shopper, but I love #NYC during the holidays for the lights, the shows & the upbeat mood in the air! And who doesn't love checking out the @rockcenternyc #Christmas tree! @NBCNews #TravelSkills

A7. JFK airport is my favorite NYC airport. As a flight attendant, best trips are out of JFK (bigger planes, longer flights). So much nicer than LGA, but I haven't been to LGA since construction started 2 yrs ago. Seems like a pain due to pick up / drop off location #TravelSkills

CaitlinKellyNYC

replying to @Heather_Poole @Heather_Poole A4:’non touristy? Get to the edge of the Hudson and enjoy the views and river traffic. Tugs! #Travelskills

A7: The crowds are brutal. The shops, markets, lights, decorations, etc. are delightful. Nothing quite like a nice cup of hot chocolate after wandering around a Christmas paradise. #TravelSkills https://t.co/cxz7hROqbI

replying to @cjmcginnis @cjmcginnis Seeing the Rockettes Christmas show was a fun experience and one I highly recommend.

As for Christmas lights/decorations, I think I prefer Paris. NYC can be a little overdone.

A6: Laguardia, because it is so close to the city and is pretty small relative to EWR or JFK. It has its issues with delays, etc. But, it is pretty easy-in, easy-out #TravelSkills https://t.co/b71iMXSUFN

A8. Best time to be in #NYC? Fall or Spring. No snow, no humidity. Best time to get out on the water. #TravelSkills

replying to @united @united A8 My fave time is the spring since everyone is in a good mood because they survived winter and the flowers are blooming! #TravelSkills

A7. It IS festive. So festive. I loved that.

.....But the CROWDS. As a resident, that's the worst time of the year to live in New York and be trying to go about your business or living and working in NYC. #TravelSkills

HCTravels

A8: I prefer autumn. Summer is too hot. Winter can be a bit too cold to enjoy all the outdoor things that make NYC great. Spring can be good, too. But, autumn is special. #TravelSkills https://t.co/5OX1bCZo9U

replying to @united @united A8 The very cheapest time of year in NYC is January. Hotel rates bottom out, flights are cheap, restaurants are cozy! #TravelSkills

JohnnyJet

replying to @united @united TIP Any time of year you should carry a pocket umbrella because you don’t want to have to buy the cheap ones on the street corners. They’re cheap and leak dye. #TravelSkills

A8 We love the cherry blossoms in the spring! From Union Square Park to Central Park to Randalls Island Park, you'll find sprinklings of pink and white fairy dust all over New York City, but the real show is at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. 😮🌸#TravelSkills

aandj8804

replying to @travelskills @travelskills I like the summer. It's hot but it's not unbearable most of the time (when I've been anyway). Other times of year the air can be a bit nippy making it uncomfortable to wander around outside. #TravelSkills
