Q6 What's the quietest place you've ever been on a trip? How'd you like it? #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia A6 Probably Uluru in Australia. You’re in the middle of a country the size of the U.S. where most of the population lives on the coast. So quiet and the stars are insane. #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia A6 The Australian Outback! I lived and worked in Mt Isa in Queensland and we’d take frequent trips out to “the bush” with nothing around for miles and miles and miles and miles… #TravelSkills

A6. Quietest place on a trip? A bed and breakfast on a wetlands preserve in Guangfu Township on the east side of Taiwan. Seriously quiet on an island Americans only know for industry. Sigh. #travelskills #travel

A6. Quietest place on a trip was definitely @TripleCreekRanc - their luxury cabins in the woods are perfect for chilling out. #TravelSkills https://t.co/Nu5yiEKXux

replying to @Australia @Australia A6 I’m always surprised by how well engineers muffle the sounds of jets at airport hotels like this brand-new one in SFO. Triple-paned windows and lots of insulation. #TravelSkills

A6 By far, it was when snowshoeing through the arctic watershed in the dead of winter for 10 days. Nothing but the sound of wind and cracking ice. #TravelSkills

A6: The Arctic Circle in winter vends to be fairly quiet, and I love the solitude it provides. #travelskills @Australia

A6: There’s nothing quite as restorative as a meditation session in a salt cave. https://t.co/qWiITL3Z3b #TravelSkills

A6: These are the best spots to avoid noise pollution (as well as air and light pollution): https://t.co/cSfPA7cD4r #TravelSkills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A6: Our most recent trip to Hawai’i staying in our @Airbnb . All you heard was the birds in the morning and crickets at night. So majestic and peaceful. #TravelSkills

replying to @Australia @Australia A6 In Australia, the holidays are smack dab in the middle of their summer, so they always feel much more laid-back and beachy than the cold, dark Christmases up north. #TravelSkills

A6 Quietest/Most Remote place I've ever been was @Mikea_Lodge in Madagascar. It was incredibly peaceful, beautiful #TravelSkills

replying to @LandLopers @LandLopers A6 - Surprisingly not far from home. In the centre of Galloway Forest in Scotland which is a designated “dark sky” area with zero light pollution and zero background noise at night. Stars, planets and Milky Way all visible. #travelskills

A6 Probably Koh Rong Sanloem, Cambodia (the other one). I was there during rainy season so there was one couple on the resort at the same time as me for the first day, then they left. I got upgraded to a bungalow and they cooked whatever I wanted.😁 #travelskills

replying to @JohnnyJet @JohnnyJet A6. Salt massage @Kempinski Dead Sea #jordan. By far best ever. Fabulous spot on the Dead Sea. #travelskills
