replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner If you stay in the original part of the hotel, it can be a little spooky-ish, with lots of dark wood and a creaky elevator. But the new part is totally modern. Either way, it's great! (and pricey! Eeek!) #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A8: Location is really the first thing we look for, but we’ve been known to go out of our way for someplace unique. Like that castle we stayed at – WAY out in the country! Totally worth it. #travel

A8: All the above! But location & price are generally the top things we look for! Has to be affordable but still in a reasonably good location to access attractions and make the most of weekend getaways! #WeekendWanderlust

A8: Booking accommodations is about balance. Location is important, but within a certain price range. Amenities matter if I'm seeking a resort or posh place to relax, but less so when I'm focused on exploring the city. #WeekendWanderlust

A7:I've had good luck with finding unique stays through @Airbnb! Google searches have led me to blog posts that are compilations of unique properties based on location or a specific theme (i.e. converted vehicles such as planes, buses, train cabooses, etc.) #WeekendWanderlust
