replying to @yosecormier @yosecormier @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Literally didn’t dislike any spot in Ireland haha #WeekendWanderlust

A3: Spread your $$$ to other places, less busy, less touristy, often less expensive, unique experiences are just a FEW of the benefits!
#WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @VisitTucsonAZ @visitphoenix @VisitMesa I’ll take you up on the guide! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Right? Good call! #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A 3) Cost. They are usually less expensive to stay at than a big city.

#WeekendWanderlust A3: Smaller crowds is one of our favorite benefits! But also, more authentic, local experiences, lower costs, and friendly locals. #travel

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A3) Less crowds to contend with, prices tend to be more reasonable, flight and hotel points costs are lower, and most importantly, more things to explore that aren't already overrun or instafamous #WeekendWanderlust

RT @ABritSoutherner: A2 I would have to say #Killarney in #Ireland. Beautiful and so many people never make it out of Dublin. @GoToIrelandG…

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Same. Even when I was in Donegal in November in full rain and cold it was still amazing. #WeekendWanderlust

Don’t forget to connect with your #WeekendWanderlust co-hosts! We are all friendly folks and willing to chat with you about anything and everything related to #travel.

replying to @obligatraveler @obligatraveler Yes and I am cheaaaaap! Love stretching my money as much as possible. #WeekendWanderlust

RT @TravelLatte: As much as this group travels, you'd think airplanes would count as our Second Cities! Especially this one - I'd move in…

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @ABritSoutherner Agreed - Boulder is a great town on its own! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @TravelLatte And likely closer to nature! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yosecormier @yosecormier @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Donegal was great - I’d love to head back to that area and explore more in depth! #WeekendWanderlust

Q4: Second Cities can be a great way to save on airfare and hotels. Have you ever used a Second City as a base for exploring nearby bigger cities? #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @obligatraveler @obligatraveler And sometimes less expensive to fly to. Hence the budget airlines usually basing there. #WeekendWanderlust

We found so many things to see and do when we travelled to Grand Cayman! https://t.co/5X8sTWLbx5 #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @yosecormier @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Us too! In fact, Galway and north - we just didn't have the time we wanted! :( #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog A4) We've certainly stayed in what is more of the outskirts of the main city, but possibility a "second city" example would be staying in Oakland CA as a base to explore San Francisco and the Bay area. #weekendwanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @yosecormier @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Never enough time in Ireland! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @TravelLatte Very true! #WeekendWanderlust

A4 Yes, There are amazing opportunities to experience smaller cities and drive to different areas. Last time when we were in Italy we used Florence as a base and visited Pisa and Bologna. #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A4: A lot of times, we’ll fly into second-city airports to save some money. Since we like to #travel without a rental car, we usually book hotels in the main city though.

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints I’d definitely consider Oakland a second city! Did you find it was easy to explore San Francisco from there? #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog Totally, public transit there allows for easy access! Plus hotel pricing (in both cash and points value) is so, so much more reasonable #weekendwanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @wildheartedblog @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB As a young 20-something, I spent 3 months bumming around Ireland. Been a long time so want to go back. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @wildheartedblog And sometimes super special - For example, Flagstaff - just a couple hours from Phoenix - Is an International Dark Sky City! How cool is that? Also, nowhere near as hot. :) #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints Fantastic! Im keeping this in mind for when I finally make it out there! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yosecormier @yosecormier @TravelLatte @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Three months?! That sounds magical! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yosecormier @yosecormier @wildheartedblog @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB Who could blame ya? Pretty sure that once you set foot, you ALWAYS want to go back. #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A 4) We saved a lot of money staying in Jersey City and then hoping the train over into New York City.

A2- If you want to enjoy canals, but don't want to pay the prices of Venice or deal with the crowds in Amsterdam, give Brugge a try #WeekendWanderlust #travelingsession

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @ParksandPoints Ohhh! Dark sky 🌌 spots fascinate me and I want to visit more! We have one here in Tennessee! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @ParksandPoints I didn't know that! Where at? #WeekendWanderlust

A5: I prefer a little bit of main city and a lot of the lesser known areas. A healthy 40-60 mixture I’d say! Maybe 30-70. #WeekendWanderlust

A5 Traveling is all about exploring the world, all of it not just the well-known places. We love traveling so we go everywhere because I feel like even if you have been there is something we didn’t see before. #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A5: OR? How about both! The main cities are there for a reason, and worth a visit. But lesser known cities have their own charms and attractions, too! #travel

replying to @Travel_Session @Travel_Session So we've been told - and can't wait to put that to the test! :) #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yosecormier @TravelLatte @wildheartedblog @ABritSoutherner @GoToIrelandGB It was amazing. I was traveling for 6 months. Spent 3 months on the mainland as well. #WeekendWanderlust
