replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @wildheartedblog Good call, what a fantastic town! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog A5: Hi guys! Joining from Ohio! I think a mix of both is good! Although, when we visited Ireland we only used DUB airport - didn't visit the city! In the USA, there are so many smalltown destinations, it would be a shame to only visit the major cities! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog Good mix! We're guilty of too much time in the big cities too often. But then, we tend to like big cities. #Weirdos ;) #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @wildheartedblog We love it! One of the few Arizona areas with more than one season. ;) #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog Thanks for joining us! And I totally agree - the US is so so much more than just our main cities. So many beautiful natural spots too. #WeekendWanderlust

Q6: Which second cities around the world do you consider to be the most popular? #WeekendWanderlust

Q6: Which second cities around the world do you consider to be the most popular? #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner Right! And I just think about how anyone who visited the USA and only went to NYC and LA, would have little idea of how much of America lives/works/etc. #weekendwanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust #Travel Chat Q6: Which second cities around the world do you consider to be the most popular?

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte Haha nothing wrong with liking them! They got popular for a reason. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner So true! In fact, after you've seen the "must see" spots, you're more free to roam around and discover the city on a repeat visit(s). #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog @ABritSoutherner Haha yes! I heard recently someone say something like they only went to Vegas and determined they didn’t like the whole country 😅🤣 #WeekendWanderlust

A6 Manchester UK, is definitely an up and coming a lot more people know where that is located geographically. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner A6) For travel, Chicago, Melbourne, Liverpool, Seattle, among others! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @ABritSoutherner Ohmygoodness! That's epic! Vegas is a culture shock for most Americans. LOL. #weekendwanderlust

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog @ABritSoutherner Haha right?! Like visit there but don’t base everything on it #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog @wildheartedblog @ABritSoutherner Ha! That's true! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A6: For travel - Paris, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Sydney, and NYC. #Weekendwanderlust

Q7: Despite being smaller, some "Second Cities" have great attractions of their own. What sightseeing have you done in smaller or lesser known cities? #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @ABritSoutherner I live in Ohio and I've been to Melbourne twice but never Chicago. 😳 I need to get there. #weekendwanderlust

A7 Sometimes there are free walking tours or public maps that you can map a walking tour out yourself. We recently did this in @StayArlington while looking at Street Art and found some cool pieces. #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A7: Going back to our home second city – Fort Worth has a cattle drive every day! You won’t find that in Dallas! Or pretty much anywhere… Great sightseeing for history buffs in DC’s 2nd City, Arlington. #travel

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog @ABritSoutherner Isn't it funny how that works! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog @ParksandPoints @ABritSoutherner Haha I’ve only been once! I saw a cheap flight to Chicago today - maybe I need to go back! #WeekendWanderlust

A5- It depends on the country. If I'm in Japan, then I like to stay in Tokyo. If I'm in France, I may prefer someplace like Cannes #WeekendWanderlust #travelingsession

Q8: Second Cities can be hard to get to - what's your favorite way to travel to sometimes smaller, out of the way cities? #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A7: Newcastle, Australia; Cincinnati, Ohio; Santa Fe, NM. @CincyUSA has numerous murals, great museums, and a fantastic urban zoo. #weekendwanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A8) A good airlines points trip is always a nice way to cut down costs! Plus, saver level awards are often more available to second cities. #weekendwanderlust

replying to @obligatraveler @obligatraveler One of the best places to hike! Boulder was our A2! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte We were just there in January! Very fun experience! #WeekendWanderlust

A8 Train is always a favorite with us but uber because were lazy but if we are visiting more than one place we will more than likely drive. #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A8: If we can #travel by train, we’ll take that option every time! Otherwise, we usually get around with a rental car.

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog @TravelLatte @CincyUSA Oh yes! @CincyUSA has also been on my list as well! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @ABritSoutherner As someone told me, is Melbourne second or is Sydney? Either way, both were great. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @obligatraveler This is so pretty and green! #Weekendwanderlust

replying to @yodertoterblog @yodertoterblog It is! We enjoy the Stockyards area a lot - a great history lesson and a lot of fun! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @yosecormier @yosecormier @ABritSoutherner Good point! Both cities are booming and great to visit on their own. #WeekendWanderlust

A5: We rely on people who love both. Being only 65 miles from DC, we get a lot of people (especially from across the pond) who want to enjoy the beach, but can easily travel to the nations capital for even a day trip. #WeekendWanderlust
