#WeekendWanderlust A2: Hard to pick a favorite #train trip, but… Last fall, we climbed aboard the Amtrak Adirondack for some Upstate New York leafpeeping, and it was fantastic! https://t.co/1HKrXCdaEM #travel
A2: We've had several that are great but can't name a favorite. Here's a few pics though #weekendwanderlust
#WeekendWanderlust A 2) We haven't done a lot of long train rides, but riding the dome car in Alaska was a fantastic experience
#WeekendWanderlust #Travel Chat Q3: Do you prefer a specific train journey where you have an itinerary or just a point a to point b train journey?
replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat A2: Not sure if this counts, but walking the coal train tracks that ran past my grandparents' farms in the 1960s! They still heated the house with coal, so we carried a coal bucket & picked up the coal that flew from the cars! Great childhood memory! #weekendwanderlust!
#WeekendWanderlust A 3) I'll take any train ride, as long as there is something to look at, or good people watching along the way
#WeekendWanderlust #Travel Chat Q4: A lot of small and historic railroads are now tourist attractions. Have you been on one that you really enjoyed?
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A3: The best are trains you take for the scenic adventure! #weekendwanderlust
A3: I did an overnight train from the arctic to Are in #Sweden and it went so well - I was nervous bc the trains are known to break down sometimes due to extreme cold! 😬🚊❄️ #WeekendWanderlust
The #streetart around the town was simply stunning when we visited #Napa Valley in #California . https://t.co/Y0pPMqZpT5 #WeekendWanderlust #streetartchat @StreetArtChat
replying to @CourseCharted @CourseCharted Oh no! I would be so cold haha #WeekendWanderlust
A4: We recently went on a little ride on the state railway of Thailand. It was historic and it was a cool, short ride. Here is the historic bridge over the River Kwai! #weekendwanderlust
#WeekendWanderlust A4: We have ridden a few local #trains that are really just attractions now. Our fave so far? Colorado’s Georgetown Loop Railroad! So cute & fun – and the town is too! #travel
