A1: I absolutely love traveling solo. I'm always happy to travel regardless of solo, couple, [small] group but I think solo is my favorite!
I like being able to do what I like to do without worrying about if everyone else is happy.

A1: I primarily traveled solo until meeting my wife Katie. I still sometimes travel alone, but prefer to travel with her. I feel like my travels are more rich because I travel with her. #WeekendWanderlust

A2: My first big solo trip was to #Berlin a few years after finishing grad school. I still remembering seeing the Brandenburg Gate for the first time. It was a stunning sight. #WeekendWanderlust

A2: I did an impromptu trip to Australia before my mission began and took a day tour to Fraser Island. My first time in a tiny plane to see views of the island from above! #WeekendWanderlust

A4: As a female solo traveler, safety is definitely a concern.
However, I try not to let fear mongering and media get to me as I've felt just as safe abroad as home.
If it's your first time, perhaps visit a country that speaks your same language. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte a4: I always have to consider safety, and adjust my plans accordingly. There have been a few times where I ate too late of a dinner, and the walk back to the hotel was uncomfortable .. #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A4: Safety takes on even more importance when planning to #travel solo! That’s our #1 factor, but we also factor in local transit and travel times, so we don’t end up alone at night on an empty street. #spooky
