I'm sitting at home - going to hike Fiery Gizzard Trail this weekend 0 one of the best trails in the country! #Weekendwanderlust
replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @TravelLatte Nothing fun. We need a new hose #WeekendWanderlust
A1: I'd define a hidden gem as somewhere beyond the guidebook, something the locals know but may not be well known otherwise, and so on. #WeekendWanderlust
#WeekendWanderlust A1: We think Hidden Gems are places that are special in some way, but off the radar for most people. Sometimes, that “something special” is unique to the traveler, which makes them really personal #travel experiences.
replying to @WWTravelChat
@WWTravelChat Something you have not read about before you traveled to this destination and also an unexpected surprise.
#WeekendWanderlust
replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner @byland_and_sea haha and what project are YOU working on?! #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat A1: Something that appeals to any one or more of my 5 senses, but is some sort of a getaway without much people. It's someplace that draws my soul, I guess. #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat A1: A hidden gem is a place most people don't know about, like this abandoned monastery turned national park just outside #MexicoCity! #WeekendWanderlust
A1: something that is off the beaten path and not marketed heavily for tourism #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @KabuliKitchen @KabuliKitchen @WWTravelChat Love this photo and hidden find! #WeekendWanderlust

A1 A hidden gem is somewhere that is off the beaten path and away from the hustle #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner Sometimes, "away from the hustle" is the best part! ;) #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @WWTravelChat
@WWTravelChat Two places come to mind: Tulum, Mexico & Sainte Chapelle in #Paris.
#WeekendWanderlust
#WeekendWanderlust A2: One of our favorites is just a little spot in #NewHampshire White Mountains called Beaver Pond. It’s not much more than that, but it’s a gorgeous spot for a romantic fall picnic! #travel
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A2: Favorite hidden gem is this line of trees in #CentralPark in #NewYorkCity that blooms for about 1 week each year - stunning! #WeekendWanderlust
Don't forget to use the #WeekendWanderlust hashtag during tonight's chat so everyone can see your tweets. And if you haven't already, join the #travel conversation!
replying to @BCpostergirl @BCpostergirl @WWTravelChat I'm curious - I heard there were issues of overtourism in Tulum. What did you think? #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @BCpostergirl @BCpostergirl @WWTravelChat That is a great answer. #weekendwanderlust
replying to @KabuliKitchen @KabuliKitchen @TravelLatte GORRRRGEOUS! #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @KabuliKitchen @KabuliKitchen That's gorgeous! Uhm...what part of Central Park? I mean...dang, that's a big park! lol #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte You don't need much more than that really. #weekendwanderlust
replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat A2: little private beaches just off Horseshoe Bay in Bermuda. Everyone goes for the popular beach but a little further down you can have your own private cove #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @byland_and_sea We go there as a regular after work treat. You know like as I kid we got happy meals. as adults we get Home Depot lol #weekendwanderlust
replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog Right? In fact, it seems like the real gems are quaint little spots more often than not. #WeekendWanderlust
