replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat I am an @AmericanAir girl all the way #WeekendWanderlust #IMC462 ✈️
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @MarriottBonvoy Do you think points will go down once it's off season? #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @curiouslyerin1 @curiouslyerin1 Patience is the name of the game. :/ #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @byland_and_sea @byland_and_sea @ABritSoutherner If you count often staying in a 25 year-old Hampton Inn in San Angelo Tx fancy - then yes! #weekendwanderlust
replying to @byland_and_sea @byland_and_sea @MarriottBonvoy Did you not get an email from them? Or was it "really old"? lol #WeekendWanderlust
Q5: Affiliated credit cards can add lots of points and miles. Which ones are the best for converting to travel rewards? #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @WannabeWayfarer @WannabeWayfarer @WWTravelChat Honestly, loved the old SPG program. Best in the biz, we thought. Would love the old perks back! #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @WWTravelChat
@WWTravelChat A4: most of my business travel is on American Airlines, however, their service has deteriorated. Love Alaska Mileage Plan and Delta SkyMiles as well.
#WeekendWanderlust
replying to @MandyMPower @MandyMPower @WWTravelChat Totally understandable! #WeekendWanderlust
A4. We are part of Delta and Emirates programs. We just found out that Emirates will be flying from MEX to Barcelona starting Dec. 9! Super-excited! #WeekendWanderlust
A5: This is one we are trying to learn about so anxious to hear everyone's answers! #weekendwanderlust
#WeekendWanderlust A5: Since we normally fly @AmericanAirlines, Barclay & Citi cards work best for us. Free checked bags, priority boarding, no foreign transaction fees, and at least a mile per dollar adds up! Very tempted to upgrade for lounge access, but so pricey! #travel

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @WannabeWayfarer @WWTravelChat That is the only problem with points. The rules of the game can change at any time. #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @WannabeWayfarer @WWTravelChat Yes, the SPG program was amazing! #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner @HiltonHHonors @EmbassySuites True - @EmbassySuites rock! And they're real budget stretchers. Good choice! #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat We stick to @AirCanada as the points build at a good speed and the international alliance means we can go anywhere. #WeekendWanderlust

I’m super late to the party! Sorry guys! Just got into @ExpCols tonight and was at dinner. Excited to finish up the second half of the chat. #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @MarriottBonvoy Hmmm. that is a good question as I tend to be pretty trigger happy when it comes to deleting emails #WeekendWanderlust
A5: We always use our @Chase Sapphire for purchases…love the rewards and perks associated with them! #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A5. I have the Delta Amex and Bonvoy cards but I hear Capital one is good. #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @epicureanexpats @epicureanexpats My life long dream is to fly first class on Emirates. Like don’t even need to get off the plane on the other side. #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte We've found the Chase Sapphire Reserve flexible for lots of non-chain stays like AirB&B and VRBO. Also maximize the fuel, resturant and grocery bonuses on both Hilton AMEX and Citi AAdvantage #weekendwanderlust
replying to @curiouslyerin1 @curiouslyerin1 I've always wondered why they don't do a loyalty program, too. Maybe thinking they're popular enough not to need one, but with competition from OTAs now. maybe? #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @SeizeTheTrek @SeizeTheTrek @TravelLatte A3 I'm a member of a few. such as Hilton Honor but truthfully they don't make any difference to me. I look for price and location first. If I happen to have a membership of a loyalty program I will use it but it makes no impact on my decision. #weekendwanderlust
replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @ExpCols Enjoy @ExpCols - we are looking forward to getting there sometime soon! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @daavetv @daavetv So true! we've alwos managed to snag rooms when prices go up for special events. Handy! #WeekendWanderlust

@WWTravelChat A5: my go to is the Amex Business Platinum card.

replying to @StuartMHurlbut @StuartMHurlbut @WWTravelChat So cool! Thanks for introducing us. We'll have to look up Bingley and learn more! #WeekendWanderlust
A6: A few years ago we were really passionate about getting Companion Pass with @SouthwestAir so we focused on that…and we DID IT! And what an amazing experience. Would love to get back there eventually - @SouthwestAir can you help us out with that? :) #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @Travel_Session @Travel_Session It seems to me that it is something which has to be carefully managed for sure! #Weekendwanderlust
A6: Probably airline points since we have had those memberships longer. #weekendwanderlust
#WeekendWanderlust A6: We focus on airlines & hotels. Strategy is simple: Pick a favorite and stay/fly as often as possible! We chose @MarriottBonvoy because they’re pretty much everywhere, and @AmericanAir because we live in a hub city. #travel
I’m terrible at the points game. I have the @Chase sapphire card and I love it but I don’t think I use it to its full potential 🤣 #WeekendWanderlust https://t.co/gS75NlyG7y
A6. I research to see the best deals. Usually it's a hotel deal, but sometimes it's worth paying the money for the extra bonus points #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @WannabeWayfarer @WannabeWayfarer @WWTravelChat And that's really the key - find one and stick with it. Otherwise, it takes tooooo long to accumulate enough miles. :/ #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner @SouthwestAir I WANT TO DO THIS. I think it’s a lost cause this year but maybe in 2020? #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte a6 - both are constantly devalued - earn'em / then burn'em. #weekendwanderlust
replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @Chase We are the same! #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @epicureanexpats @epicureanexpats @MarriottBonvoy They don't seem to - which is both good and bad. They're mostly based on room rate for tiers, so you spend the same points for shoulder season. Look for their special offers though. #WeekendWanderlust
replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @SouthwestAir It’s a great way to explore the US…and beyond! #WeekendWanderlust
