Q4: Do you think social media has replaced traditional media forms for researching a destination? #WeekendWanderlust

A4: Totally because its so easy to just ask a recommendation and get a response within seconds sometimes, thats hard to compete with. However, I do think that the pre-planning is a lot of research the traditional way. #WeekendWanderlust

A4: I still think it's very much a personal preference but, in general, I'd say yes. I personally use many different forms - online and traditional. #WeekendWanderlust

A4: Given that so many people on this chat said they use things besides social media for trips, it has NOT replaced traditional media. However, it is a GREAT supplement. #WeekendWanderlust

A4: Yes definitely. I used to collect hard copy Lonely Planet's. not anymore. Although I do have a stack of travel mags, and I tear out/save articles from time to time. #WeekendWanderlust

A4: In some ways, yes. But honestly I still love looking at maps and flipping through a professionally written guide book too! I love the mix of old and new! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @ABritSoutherner @ABritSoutherner A4: Yes because of how fast the response time can be as well as there are lots of information about any or most destinations on social media. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A4. No, I think the people who want to know about a destination rather than just get a selfie still lean towards traditional media. #weekendwanderlust

A4: We think that it has changed travel in many ways. There is a lot of info out there & having it at your fingertips can take you to new & exciting places. We completed a survey to get a pulse on family travel & the part it plays. #WeekendWanderlust https://t.co/6iVaGvizDK

A4.

I cannot speak for others, but this is my main research material for a potential #roadtrip . 🚌

I love #travel guides! 🧳

Blogs and SM are amazing resources, but they’ll never replace my guides 🌿
