WeekendWanderlust

A2: Japan is known for sakuras in spring, but its fall colors are also beautiful. I'd especially enjoy Kyoto in fall so I could see the temples and shrines with a different background. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @thewandererblog @WWTravelChat Yes! #WeekendWanderlust

We would absolutely love to visit #Japan in the fall. We understand it's Leaf Peeping in the extreme, and we're dying to see all of the color! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A1: Color, harvest, firepits! #weekendwanderlust

A3. I start planning 6 months in advance! I'm constantly looking for great deals. #weekendwanderlust

replying to @cleverwomanNY @cleverwomanNY Exactly. We figure Fall is just right! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @LitchfieldFund @LitchfieldFund @TravelLatte Yes, bonfires! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @LitchfieldFund @LitchfieldFund Firepits 'n' S'mores for the win! Okay, and maybe some vino. :) #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte @WWTravelChat The weather is nice and the yummy fall foods are always a plus #weekendwanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog A2: Always enjoy National Parks between summer & winter season. Still no risk of snow but less crowded! #weekendwanderlust

I guess I’d probably travel where the crowds are going and *hope* they aren’t too bad. I really like seeing colorful leaves in the fall … and beaches in the summer, snow in the winter, flowers in the spring, etc… 🤷♀️ #weekendwanderlust https://t.co/OZUGVgU2im

#WeekendWanderlust A3: Lately, we start planning next year’s fall trip during this year’s trip! If only we stayed that “ahead of the game” once we get home… #travel

replying to @StevenOnTheMove @StevenOnTheMove That's up near the top of our #Travel Bucket List - actually over Sakura! #WeekendWanderlust

A2: honestly I would go anywhere in the fall. You had me at "smaller crowds" with the exception of Thanksgiving in the U.S. DO NOT TRAVEL! #WeekendWanderlust

A3: Whenever it crosses my mind. Obviously sooner is usually better, but it just depends. Longer trips are usually planned further in advance, but day trips can be planned with a few days notice. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte I'll be 23 this year. Woohoo? #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @aandj8804 @aandj8804 Same - so we curse the crowds and join in. Essentially, we are our own problem. lol #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat A1: Best part of Autumn in 3 words: pumpkin spice everything! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat A3: Autumn is a great time for impromptu trips based on weather...just nice to get away! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @HubVacation @HubVacation @WWTravelChat Haha yes I hate to jump on the bandwagon but I DO love pumpkin spice. #weekendwanderlust

replying to @LindayForDayz @LindayForDayz Except of turkey day, if you don't mind/can manage it. Just about the most empty we've ever seen an airport! #WeekendWanderlust

A4. Favorite activities are eating, drinking, and being outside in nature. This was on the Continental Divide in Ecuador. #weekendwanderlust

replying to @wildheartedblog @wildheartedblog @VisitALBeaches It’s going to be an epic adventure…October is a great time to be in GSOB! #WeekendWanderlust

A3: I start planning in the summer to score conference scholarships and airfare. If I'm driving somewhere I'll decide the week before. #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat I don’t really go on fall getaways… If I do, it’s usually a long weekend and planned last minute. #weekendwanderlust

A4: Haunted houses, leaf peeping, hiking, camping, baking (and eating) pies, and more!
#WeekendWanderlust

A4: When I lived in the U.S. nothing was better than tailgating and watching college football. #WeekendWanderlust

#WeekendWanderlust A4: We love #hiking in the fall! Cooler weather and beautiful #fallcolors make the perfect hike for us! #travel

replying to @epicureanexpats @epicureanexpats I think just being able to spend all day outside without freezing or roasting is my favorite part of fall! And we take full advantage of that! #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @TravelLatte @TravelLatte A4: Hiking is the best part of fall. Harvest festivals after that! #weekendwanderlust

replying to @aandj8804 @aandj8804 @WWTravelChat Love those kind of last minute decisions! We always have so much fun on unexpected trips! #WeekendWanderlust

A4: nature walks, pumpkin painting, trying not to drown in homework, baking, knitting #WeekendWanderlust

replying to @WWTravelChat @WWTravelChat A2. I’d like to visit Iceland without so many people there #WeekendWanderlust

Q5: You can’t talk about fall travel without talking about Leaf Peeping! Where is the best place you’ve gone for fall foliage? #WeekendWanderlust
