@marcellinho_nl @kate_frankie Agree
Special trips require special packing. always. #PTTravel
A1. Well, depends on what in doing when I get to my destination. If it's just a weekend citybreak, then I'm taking virtually nothing. But otherwise it might be my hiking gear and a tent, wetsuit and snorkelling kit, sailing oilskins. #pttravel
replying to @HHLifestyleTrav @HHLifestyleTrav #pttravel Naturally, this doesn't apply to the waterproofs and the first-aid kit! 😆

replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1 I pack just enough using packing cubes and follow the konmari method of folding which I believe creates more space. 😀 #PTTravel
replying to @StuartMHurlbut @StuartMHurlbut @JR_justJR @kate_frankie I wish I thought like that… #pttravel
replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR @amberparkcouple @kate_frankie So I'm not alone in packing the kitchen sink?! 😳 #pttravel
replying to @Pinkzenjoy
@Pinkzenjoy @kate_frankie Have you tried rolling? Odd idea but once you do it, get used to it, amazing how much more you can fit.
And no wrinkles.

replying to @aandj8804 @aandj8804 @kate_frankie Haha I totally agree with this! But at the same time I love going through everything #pttravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1) I pack everything BUT somehow make it work. Planning ahead and being mindful of the weather/things you will be doing is key #PTTravel
replying to @kate_frankie @kate_frankie A1. I travel with only a carry on, so I guess I’ve got it down to an art. #PTTravel
replying to @NomadKeith @NomadKeith Having to carry things really helps encourage minimalism. I'm still an over-packer by nature though… #pttravel

A2 My essentials are phone, money/cards, passport, some clothes (can take minimal for weekends) and small bag for toiletries. That's more than enough really & defo goes in carry on. I have that plus a few bits (book, laptop) this weekend on train, so backpack too

193 cm / 6'4" tall and 100 kg / 220 lb with size 13 (US) feet.
If I dont bring it, I cant buy it (usually) #PTTravel
replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR @kate_frankie Yep, I used to roll earlier but now I just fold them flat into small vertical squares coz in my packing cubes I can fit in more. 😀 #PTTravel
#pttravel A2: See, as long as I have a spare set of clothing, I don't think anything is *essential*. A couple of USB leads and a plug. That's maybe it?
I tend to take a pen and notebook everywhere though.

@Txiki_Tales And then a spare top … and a nice outfit for dinner … That's how over-packing begins, right? One item at a time? 😛
But yay you for being able to pack just for the days you need! I need that skill. #pttravel

@kate_frankie A2 Our essential is a good backpack which is also a carry on 😅 #pttravel
We just came out with a post on essentials for the budget traveller: https://t.co/jEvB73hwUR
replying to @vickyinglis13 @vickyinglis13 @kate_frankie Yeah same here. I follow the konmari method at home. Can't go back to normal stacking now. It's so addictive. 😂 #PTTravel
replying to @aandj8804 @aandj8804 #pttravel Indeed it does ... especially when doing something like the West Highland Way or the Coast to Coast Walk. And, if you've ever been in the military .....
A2 Toiletries, clean underwear -- because Mom would have wanted it that way -- and enough clothes to cover the length of the trip are essential. Then size it all to pass through security. #PTTravel
replying to @JR_justJR @JR_justJR @kate_frankie I've always wanted to try the Bose noise cancelling headphones! Glad to hear they are good enough to be in your essentials! #PTTravel
replying to @karina_escaping @karina_escaping Wow! Does the kitchen sink go in too?! I got really strict with myself about 12 years ago and haven't looked back #PTTravel

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot A2 I totally agree - as long as I have a change of clothes, nothing is essential #PTTravel
